Something is different.
Last year you
Would confess everything
To me. You and I were
Inseperable.
Clasped hands,
We met like the horizon
Connects the sky and
The land.
We still are friends,
Best in fact,
But it seems so
Fake now, like you just
Are joking around.
Have I become another
Friend?
One of the people who sees
Only your optimistic
Smile? Faux- like the only
Type of fur you would
Ever wear?
"I could be brown, I could be
Blue, I could be violet sky"
I would do anything to
Sew back together this
Hole in my jeans.

Two notes:
" 'I could be brown, I could be blue, I could be violet sky' " is a quote from "Grace Kelly" by Mika. I use this reference in particular because not only does it fit, but the person this poem is written about introduced me to Mika's work.
The last two lines, speaking about my jeans, are significant because, if you know me, you know that I wear jeans nearly 24/7. In other words, this person is incredibly close and important to me.
